The Ally Intensive is more than a history lesson on the roots of racism and its systemic pervasiveness in our modern world. It’s a practical, hands-on, experiential immersion that challenges your thinking, shifts your perspectives, invites curious conversations, and ignites you to take real-world action.

On a deep level, you know there’s more work to be done. That words are not enough, but you don’t yet fully understand what you can do to make a meaningful difference.

Meet Your Facilitator
Hi, I'm Ms.Queenie Founder of the School For Brilliant Thinkers, LLC, and co-author of a chapter in the book Facilitating Intergroup Dialogues: Bridging Differences, Catalyzing Change. For over 20 years, I’ve been training young Black men and women in the art of thinking brilliantly while also developing strong self-identities. My signature program Black School is a leading 6-month training for students ages 9-19 to think brilliantly about being Black in America. I’m also the go-to educational consultant for A-List celebrity parents and Hollywood creatives who call on me to help mentor their children to become brilliant thinkers.
While I originally created Black School to help Black youth develop a positive ethnic identity, 2020 marked the year I could no longer deny that I also needed to enlist the support of non-Black allies.
After George Floyd was senselessly murdered, my Black School students and I realized that the only real way to change racism in this country was to train non-Black allies to go beyond conversation and frustration to take empowered action. Our goal? To meaningfully shift the Black experience in America so that Black folks can live and breathe unafraid of being denied access to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In the summer of 2020, Black School For White People trained over 1,400 allies across five continents in just 30 days.

I have the vision to train an additional 500 non-Black allies like you who are leaders in their industry and ready to create real change in their sphere of influence that positively impacts the Black experience in America.

This first week we will set the groundwork for what we are doing.

The Deep Transformation of America & The Role You Play
This area is about the grand possibility of creating a new world and building a new cultural ethic of equity. Embedded in this REVOLUTION is a commitment of LOVE. This is hard for most people. This isn't to scare you but it is to position the nature of this work squarely.

Examining: Whiteness to Undo the Habit of Being Racist (No White Tears)
Activating your commitment to change and establishing deeply personal relationships with Black folks is imperative. We need allies who understand this work isn't about judging your value but rather training you to expand your awareness of the contribution you make to the world to create structural change.

The Science of Racism & Why It Matters
Getting into the "WORK." That means you'll go deep into your own understanding of racism and look at the six personal dimensions of anti-racist work that you must undo to lead this change. This is all about undoing the politics of dominance. This is all about answering some of your most pressing questions and exploring concepts of POWER, BIOLOGY, and SURVIVAL.

The Black Tax: How It Works? Now What?
You completely gut yourself of any misconceptions of privilege and workshop with your cohort next steps for shifting the system on its head. (This is where you really begin your ALLY work). You'll be able to identify the wide range of emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, and physically toxic ways that racism creates trauma within Black bodies. This is the silent matrix that Black folks confront every day at work, in business, and in the world.

Designing Your Contribution Project
Your contribution project is an opportunity to share what you have learned. How do you activate your allyship?

Demonstration of Understanding: Allyship in Action
This is the real anti-racist work. You can't do this by simply reading about racism. You have to get in the game. You will present your "project/contribution." This is an action-based model. You will demonstrate how the information has informed your action.

Recognizing racism in all of its forms takes a conscious effort on your part. Identify how racism works and serves as a tool of oppression for Black people.

Relearn anti-racists ways of showing up in the world as an ally to support Black people in the dismantling of racist policies and procedures.

- Learn how to talk about racism with friends and family without getting defensive or feel like you’re alienating or losing people you care about
- Understand stereotypes and how RACISM plays out

FAQs
When does the Intensive Start?
This round will begin Sunday, January 21, 2023. The class meets at a time that works for all of the attendees in the cohort. Once the cohort is compiled, we will create a doodle to schedule our meetings to accommodate the class. If you miss a class, the recording will be available.
Who is The Ally Intensive for?
Brilliant thinkers, conscious collaborators, and intentional influencers who possess a deep desire to build a more just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive future.
Can I enroll if I didn't attend all of the ally classes?
Yes. This process is for you if you're called to commit to action.
Do you give out scholarships?
We give up to two full scholarships per cohort. If you need to make a payment arrangement outside the ones listed, email Hello@BlackSchoolForWhitePeople.com to see if we can accommodate your request. What we look for in our participants is a willingness to take action.

Is my seat refundable?
This is a non-refundable program. However, you can transfer your seat to another attendee or cohort session. The emotional labor that goes into a program like this is beyond compensation. Your investment is a reflection of your commitment.
What's different about this program?
This program is not rooted in INFORMATION. You can GOOGLE and read for that. You don't have to join an intensive for that. This is a commitment to personal transformation. This is about undoing and unlearning personal habits of mind. The only way to break a habit of being yourself is through a deliberate and intentional change process. This ally intensive is the container for creative structural change and to shift your relationship to anti-blackness. We are reimagining a new world (new America).
Sometimes change comes not in the first round, but at the second, third or fourth. Change starts with one person questioning, challenging, speaking up, and doing something to make a difference. We can each make a difference...because each of us is already part of the community where racism exists & thrives.
